Emerita Resources Reactivates Aznalcóllar Administrative Proceedings

Emerita Resources Corp. has received a court order from the High Court of Justice of Andalusia lifting the suspension of the administrative litigation proceedings examining the Aznalcóllar tender in southern Spain.
The administrative case was originally suspended on November 21, 2018, pending the outcome of a related trial examining the same facts under criminal jurisdiction.
Following the conclusion of that criminal trial, Emerita formally requested in December 2025 that the High Court of Justice of Andalusia lift the suspension on the grounds that the original basis for pausing the litigation no longer existed.
The court issued an order officially lifting the suspension and reactivating the proceedings. The High Court of Justice of Andalusia will now proceed to hand down its judgment examining whether administrative irregularities occurred during the process of awarding the Aznalcóllar tender. The court has not yet provided a specific date for when the final judgment will be delivered.
