eMetals Reports High-Grade Tungsten Hits at Mineral Range Project
eMetals Limited (ASX: EMT) has released promising sampling results from its Mineral Range tungsten project in Utah, USA. The company successfully re-entered historic underground workings at the Garnet prospect, collecting channel and rock-chip samples to evaluate mineralization styles. Among the results, recent assays returned significant high-grade intercepts, including 1.2 meters at 0.76% WO₃, alongside broader zones of 5.5 meters at 0.18% WO₃ and 1.5 meters at 0.27% WO₃.
The exploration program focused on identifying near-vertical, garnet-rich skarn zones which have historically been the most productive mineralized style in the area. By utilizing shortwave ultraviolet light to identify scheelite mineralization, the team was able to target exposures at the 40-foot and 100-foot levels of the historic Garnet mine. Additionally, the company employed LiDAR technology to map these underground voids, creating high-resolution models that will assist in estimating the volume of historically mined material.
These findings serve a critical role in refining the company’s forward-looking exploration strategy. The technical data collected during this underground program is now being integrated into final plans for a maiden drilling campaign, which is set to commence during the current quarter.
