Emperor Metals Inc. (CSE: AUOZ) has commenced work on an updated National Instrument 43-101 technical report for its Lac Pelletier project, located near Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. This development marks a transition in the company’s efforts to consolidate historical data with recent technical work, establishing a unified foundation for the site’s next phase of development. The report will synthesize extensive records, including over 100,000 meters of historical drilling and 3.3 kilometers of existing underground development, to meet current regulatory disclosure standards.

The initiative serves as a bridge toward formal engineering studies. Upon completion of the technical report, which is expected in the coming months, the company intends to launch a Pre-Feasibility Study. This study will refine mining methods, processing flowsheets, and infrastructure requirements, building on the project's existing underground mining permit that allows for production of up to 1,000 tonnes per day.

"Initiating an updated NI 43-101 Technical Report is another important step in systematically advancing the Lac Pelletier Project. We have assembled a substantial amount of historical and recent technical information, and this work will consolidate those datasets into a current technical framework that will guide the next phase of development. Together with the ongoing environmental permitting process, this work continues to de-risk the project as the Company advances toward engineering studies and, ultimately, production."

— John Florek, President and CEO

The move follows recent progress in the company’s environmental regulatory pathway. While early 2026 was defined by geochemistry assessments for closure planning, the June 2026 update confirmed the completion of an updated remediation plan. Integrating these environmental milestones with the upcoming technical report is designed to de-risk the asset, which was previously advanced to the threshold of production under former ownership. By leveraging existing infrastructure, such as the portal, ventilation raises, and settling ponds, Emperor aims to streamline its development timeline. Future site activities, contingent upon successful study results and continued regulatory approval, are expected to include underground rehabilitation and potential construction of surface facilities as the project moves toward a future production decision.
