Empress Royalty Completes Acquisition of 14-Asset Royalty Portfolio
Empress Royalty Corp. has completed its acquisition of a portfolio of 14 pre-production net smelter return (NSR) royalties from Almadex Minerals Ltd. The transaction, which follows a purchase agreement signed on July 9, 2026, has secured all required corporate and regulatory approvals, including sign-off from the TSX Venture Exchange.
The deal grants Empress expanded exposure to mineral properties located across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. These royalty interests are supported by a group of established project operators, including Alamos Gold, McEwen Inc., Kodiak Copper, and Westhaven Gold.
As part of the consideration for the acquisition, Empress has issued common shares to Almadex. These shares are now subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day under applicable Canadian securities laws. Empress currently holds approximately US$20 million in cash, gold, and silver, which it maintains to fund further opportunities throughout the mining lifecycle.
“Closing this acquisition has expanded our exposure to exploration and development assets, added long-term optionality and exposure to future discoveries and project advancement alongside our cash generating assets at the foundation of our business.”
— Alexandra Woodyer Sherron, CEO and President
