EMU NL Advances Deep Drilling And Intrusive Copper Model At Yataga Valley With 735m Hole

EMU NL has completed 16 reverse circulation holes and advanced a deep reverse circulation and diamond drill hole to approximately 735 metres at the Yataga Valley Copper Project in North Queensland.

Drill hole 26YVRD012 reached its operational depth limitations after testing a priority coincident magnetic-low and induced polarisation chargeability target beneath the central valley. The hole transitioned from relatively homogeneous granodiorite into a progressively more complex intrusive and hydrothermal environment. Logging identified multiple intrusive phases, aplite and pegmatitic phases, hydrothermal alteration, quartz veining, and localised zones of increased vein and shear development.

The current fieldwork represents the first systematic drilling and integrated geological assessment of the broader Yataga Valley target. EMU manages the project under an 83% operating interest in a joint venture with Rugby Mining Pty Ltd, which holds a 17% diluting interest. The Yataga Igneous Complex is interpreted as a porphyry-related copper system sharing geological signatures with major international deposits such as Highland Valley in British Columbia.

EMU is also evaluating the existing 26YVRC015 pre-collar for a potential diamond extension as mapping and target refinement continue in parallel with ongoing technical data integration.

We are encouraged by the geological picture developing at Yataga. The current RC/diamond hole has encountered an increasingly complex intrusive and hydrothermal environment containing many of the geological features we hoped to encounter when we selected this target.

Importantly, this is much broader than a single drill hole. We now have 16 completed RC holes, a deep RC/diamond hole, extensive surface mapping and detailed geophysical datasets all contributing to our understanding of Yataga, with a substantial amount of new information still to come from the current programme.

All completed reverse circulation samples and most diamond samples are currently at the laboratory for analysis. EMU expects initial laboratory assay results from the drilling programme to begin arriving from early October 2026.
