Dr. Harold L. Gibson

Dr. Harold L. Gibson, P.Geo., brings more than 40 years of expertise in VMS systems, developed through the study of VMS deposits and their diverse volcanic environments around the world and on the modern seafloor. He is currently VP, Exploration for VMS Mining Corp and Exploration Consultant as well as an Emeritus Professor of Volcanology and Ore Deposits at the Harquail School of Earth Sciences at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Canada. Dr. Gibson formerly served as Director of Laurentian University's Mineral Exploration Research Centre and was the Scientific Lead and Founding Director of the $104-million Metal Earth research project, Canada's largest multi-university, industry and government-funded mineral exploration research initiative.

Dr. Gibson has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has received numerous awards recognizing his contributions to economic geology and mineral exploration, including the William Harvey Gross Award and Duncan R. Derry Medal from the Mineral Deposits Division of the Geological Association of Canada; the Barlow Memorial Medal and Julian Boldy Memorial Award from the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum; and Laurentian University's Research Excellence Award.

Before entering academia, Dr. Gibson had a successful 12-year career in mineral exploration. Throughout his career he has consulted for numerous global mining companies and been part of several VMS discovery teams. Of particular relevance to Errington is his work with Falconbridge Ltd., directing exploration within the Sudbury Basin focussed on discovery of new mineralized systems analogous to Errington and Vermilion.

Fall 2026 Exploration Program

The Company has mobilized an initial drill rig to Vermilion to test the potential extensions of the mineralized zone along strike and down-dip as well as validate historic drilling to improve future resource estimations. A second drill rig will also commence shortly thereafter to accelerate the program. Additional targets near Vermilion will also be tested based on geological and geophysical data interpretations. The drilling program at Vermilion is expected to extend through the Fall. A third rig is expected to arrive in October that will focus on collecting representative mineralized material from Errington for a planned mini-pilot metallurgical test scheduled for 2027.
