EU Gold Mining Intersects 2.2 Metres at 9.72 g/t Au in Maiden Drilling at Kimoukro
EU Gold Mining Inc. has returned initial bedrock gold assays from its maiden diamond drilling program at the Kimoukro Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, completed by its wholly owned subsidiary K Mining SARL.
The 2026 program comprised 17 oriented diamond drill holes totaling 2,594.25 metres, serving as a first-pass test of targets generated from mapping, geochemistry, trenching, artisanal workings, ground magnetics and induced-polarization surveys.
Drilling intersected mineralized structures within metasedimentary rocks, granodiorite-tonalite intrusive rocks, and favorable mafic dykes. Hole K26DD011 returned 2.20 metres at 9.72 g/t gold from 21.00 metres, alongside a second interval of 2.00 metres at 1.78 g/t gold from 98.00 metres. Hole K26DD002 intersected 7.00 metres at 2.65 g/t gold from 103.00 metres, including 3.00 metres at 5.92 g/t gold from 107.00 metres. Hole K26DD016 intersected 5.60 metres at 2.45 g/t gold from 193.40 metres, including 1.00 metre at 9.58 g/t gold from 196.00 metres. Visible gold was observed in core from both K26DD002 and K26DD016. Additional highlights include hole K26DD007, which returned 1.50 metres at 6.17 g/t gold from 31.50 metres and 2.15 metres at 4.40 g/t gold from 121.85 metres, and hole K26DD013, which intersected 1.00 metre at 7.17 g/t gold from 98.20 metres. All intervals represent downhole lengths, with true widths not yet established.
The results have refined the structural interpretation at Kimoukro. While regional architecture is dominated by steep north-trending shear zones, oriented core confirmed an additional family of east-west to east-southeast striking mineralized structures. Three primary mineralization settings were identified: quartz-carbonate-sericite shear-vein systems in metasedimentary rocks, intrusive-hosted mineralization in altered granodiorite-tonalite, and shear-vein zones along mafic-dyke contacts.
EU Gold Mining holds gold permit applications covering a total of 1,393 square kilometres in Côte d'Ivoire, which includes the 14.47-square-kilometre Kimoukro property. Meanwhile, gold traded at US$4,355.80 per ounce following a 7.57% increase over the preceding 30-day period.
Kimoukro remains an exploration-stage project with no Mineral Resource or Mineral Reserve estimated. The company is evaluating a second phase exploration program comprising approximately 2,500 metres of focused oriented diamond drilling using short drill fences and opposing or scissor hole orientations to constrain strike, dip, and true widths.
