EV Resources Secures High-Grade Ore to Launch Tecomatlán Antimony Campaign
EV Resources Limited has executed a binding agreement to purchase 200 dry tonnes of high-grade antimony ore from stockpiles at Chinantla in Puebla, Mexico, completing the final feedstock input required to launch its Proof-of-Concept processing campaign at the Tecomatlán processing plant.
The parcel represents the first commercial cycle under a five-year ore supply agreement announced in August 2026. The material is located approximately 8 kilometres from the plant gate, with haulage scheduled to begin within two weeks.
Laboratory results from the Chinantla stockpile returned grades between 13% and 16% antimony. Previous flotation testwork on the material achieved an 81.1% antimony recovery rate and a concentrate grading 42.4% Sb, upgradeable to 62.9% Sb.
Total estimated consideration for the parcel is MXN$3.2 million, or approximately USD$200,000, plus value-added tax. The structure ties capital directly to delivery, requiring an upfront payment of 12.5% upon execution, with subsequent instalments linked to operational commencement and final processing reconciliation against actual dry tonnes and assayed grades. EV Resources also holds an option to acquire an additional 300 tonnes from the same stockpile lot following the commercialisation of the initial parcel.
“The plant's main circuits are individually commissioned and ready for feed and Proof of Concept campaign commencement. This purchase provides characterised, high-grade ore only eight kilometres from the plant, and gives us what we need to commence the first Tecomatlán processing campaign.”
— Shane Menere, Executive Chairman
The company is developing the Tecomatlán site as a regional processing hub for antimony miners across the Mexican states of Puebla, Oaxaca, and Guerrero. With the crushing, grinding, and flotation circuits fully commissioned and dry tested, the upcoming campaign will process the secured ore to generate operational baseline data, test the regional hub model, and produce a marketable concentrate following completion of final plant integration.
Nearby sister project Los Lirios, held by EV Resources within the surrounding district, reported a maiden exploration target of 1.8 million to 5.0 million tonnes containing 70,000 to 166,000 tonnes of antimony in June 2026.
