Evergold Corp. confirmed that two members of its exploration team were aboard a charter aircraft that made an emergency landing on a public road in Prince George, British Columbia, resulting in a fatality.

The aircraft, operated by Sekani Air Ltd., was transporting personnel south from the Golden Lion Project on a scheduled break from work when it was forced to land on Foothills Boulevard on the afternoon of August 20, 2026. The plane struck several vehicles during the descent, leading to a fatality in one of the vehicles on the road.

Evergold stated that both of its project crew members aboard the flight are safe and uninjured. The aircraft was also carrying the pilot and personnel from several other mineral exploration companies, all of whom emerged from the incident safe and uninjured.

The Golden Lion Project is Evergold Corp.'s 100%-owned flagship gold-silver property located in the Toodoggone district of northern British Columbia.

The company stated that it will support the affected crew members and their families as needed while investigations into the accident continue.
