FireFox Gold Corp. (FFOX) has surpassed its primary drilling targets at its flagship Mustajarvi project in Finland, reporting that it has completed 56 holes for a total of 13,945 metres since August 2025. This activity significantly exceeds the company’s original plan of 10,000 metres. While the project is currently on a scheduled break, the technical team is actively logging and sampling core, with results pending for 25 holes. Drilling at the site is set to resume in early August as the company works toward a maiden mineral resource estimate.

The company is simultaneously scaling up its operational capacity by deploying a second drill rig. This expansion allows FireFox to initiate a follow-up campaign at its Sarvi project, located approximately 20 kilometres from the flagship site. The work at Sarvi is designed to test the extent of gold mineralization first identified in scout drill hole 25SA003, which previously returned 27.48 g/t Au over 1.75 metres. To guide this effort, the team has completed a series of geophysical surveys, including ground magnetic, fixed-loop electromagnetic, and gravity assessments, which have identified new targets beneath the glacial sediment cover.

This dual-rig strategy marks a transition for the company, moving from a singular focus on its discovery site to running parallel exploration campaigns. With a broader portfolio of seven projects across Finland, the team is now leveraging its experience at Mustajarvi to apply similar systematic geophysical targeting across its other holdings. The current programs aim to balance in-fill drilling at the primary deposit with the testing of new, high-priority structures identified through recent survey data. Once the initial campaign at Sarvi concludes, the second drill rig will return to the flagship project to assist in testing unexplored structures.

By maintaining a consistent presence in the field, the explorer intends to sustain steady news flow throughout the second half of 2026. The technical data collected during this period will be instrumental in finalising the geological models required for the planned resource estimation. As the company continues to refine its understanding of the controls on gold mineralization, the ability to operate across multiple properties remains a core component of its strategy. The focus now turns to the integration of pending assay results and the upcoming resumed drill activity at the Mustajarvi deposit, which remains the central pillar of the company’s Finnish gold exploration efforts.
