First Au Limited has returned rock chip assays of up to 4.93 g/t Au and 3.48 g/t Au from initial mapping and surface sampling across two of its recently acquired tenements in the Kalgoorlie region of Western Australia.

The fieldwork program, conducted by Golden Strike Geological Services on tenements P 24/5844 and P 24/2845, followed up a historical aircore drill result on tenement P 24/2845 within the Kalgoorlie Terrane. Mapping identified a previously unreported zone containing approximately 30 separate historic workings and quartz mineralisation at the newly designated Kims prospect.

High-grade gold results at Kims were recovered from iron-sulphide associated quartz samples within an interaction zone of basalt and ultramafic units. The prospect has seen only limited previous historical drilling consisting of four aircore holes.

The Kims prospect is located 2.6 km north of the 3.7 million tonnes per annum Paddington Gold Mill, which is owned by Zijin Mining Group.

First Au is currently evaluating the Kims prospect to determine the next phase of exploration, while systematic fieldwork continues across its broader Kalgoorlie portfolio with further assay results pending.
