First Canadian Graphite Inc. has signed a collaboration agreement with Groupe Nipi of Pessamit and engineering firm BBA to conduct a Preliminary Environmental Assessment for its Lac Guéret South project, located on the Nitassinan traditional territory of the Pessamit Innu in Québec's Côte-Nord region.

The agreement sets out a detailed environmental review before any impact-causing exploration work begins. Groupe Nipi's multidisciplinary team will characterize wetlands and sensitive environments to prevent disturbance, analyze the physicochemical properties of surface waters in surrounding lakes and watersheds, and search for traces of past industrial activity in scarified soils left by intensive regional logging. Groupe Nipi will invoice First Canadian Graphite at an hourly rate for the study.

The company is preparing to submit an application for an Authorization for Impact-causing Work to the Québec Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests. Subsequent technical work will proceed in coordination with Groupe Nipi and BBA to ensure regulatory compliance across the territory as First Canadian Graphite advances Lac Guéret South toward a Preliminary Economic Assessment.

The Lac Guéret South property, formerly known as the Berkwood Project, borders Nouveau Monde Graphite's Uatnam graphite project. First Canadian Graphite has invested more than $10 million to date to advance the asset, and staked 46 new mineral claims near the project between July 28 and August 7, 2026.
