First Mining Gold Corp. has been added to the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, the underlying benchmark for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF.

The index addition will take effect at the close of trading on September 18, 2026, as part of the index provider's semi-annual review and rebalancing. The exchange-traded fund tracks a portfolio of liquid junior gold and silver mining, development, and exploration companies globally.

First Mining is advancing two of the largest gold projects in Canada, featuring the Springpole Gold Project in northwestern Ontario, which secured federal Environmental Assessment approval in June 2026.

"We believe our inclusion in the GDXJ will enhance First Mining's visibility among institutional and retail investors, improve trading liquidity, and increase our exposure to global capital markets as we continue to advance our gold projects in Ontario and Quebec," stated Dan Wilton, CEO of First Mining. "This is an exciting step forward for the Company and our shareholders."
