FMR Resources Delivers Strong IP Chargeability Anomaly at La Lorena Prospect
FMR Resources Ltd has completed an induced polarisation survey at the La Lorena copper-gold project in central Chile, defining a high-priority drill target at the Esperanza Prospect.
The survey comprised five east-west lines covering a 1.6-kilometre north-south extent across the project area. Preliminary two-dimensional inversion sections identified three distinct chargeability features. The strongest response, designated IP Anomaly 1, sits directly beneath historical artisanal workings within the Esperanza I helicopter magnetic anomaly. Modelled results place the center of the anomaly approximately 500 metres below surface on line 6542450mN.

FMR acquired the 100% owned La Lorena Project in May 2026, covering approximately 54 square kilometres of tenure in Chile’s Eocene-aged magmatic belt. The company subsequently completed a $5 million equity raising in June 2026 to fund and accelerate exploration across its Chilean portfolio.
Geological mapping across the western portion of the project has identified key porphyry-related features, including porphyritic intrusions, hydrothermal breccias, and phyllic alteration. The primary chargeability target lies near the intersection of the T25 Trans-Lithospheric Fault corridor and the major north-northeast-trending Tulahuén Fault.

Additional exploration upside was identified at Esperanza II, where a subtler chargeability feature appears on lines 6541250mN and 6541650mN, and at Esperanza III, which highlights a near-surface response associated with a hydrothermal breccia outcrop north of the Gatica magnetic anomaly. Strong near-surface resistivity lows across the survey area are interpreted to reflect clay alteration, weathering, or alluvial cover.
FMR Resources has pending full three-dimensional inversion of the induced polarisation survey dataset, alongside refined inversion modelling of the helicopter magnetic data, to further refine drill targets ahead of future testing.
