Forrestania Awards $145 Million Johnson Range Mining Contract to MEGA Resources

Forrestania Resources Limited has awarded the open-pit mining contract for the Johnson Range Project in Western Australia to MEGA Resources Pty Ltd, securing a base contract value of approximately $145 million for a two-year campaign.
The agreement covers the full scope of open-pit operations, including drill and blast, mining, ore and waste haulage, road and infrastructure development, and operational support. Mobilisation will begin following final project readiness activities, marking a key operational transition as Forrestania moves from planning into execution.
The Johnson Range deposit previously delivered an upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate of 2,041,190 tonnes at 1.99 g/t Au for 130,730 ounces in May 2026 following a 48-hole drill program, superseding earlier conceptual mining studies.
Forrestania previously awarded MEGA Resources the Stage 1 open-pit mining contract for the Tycho Gold Project in August 2026 under an agreement valued at approximately $27 million.
“The award of the Johnson Range mining contract is a significant step forward for Forrestania and reflects the considerable effort undertaken by our team to establish a robust execution strategy. MEGA Resources was selected as the preferred contractor based on its technical capability and alignment with Forrestania's performance expectations. We look forward to working closely with MEGA to safely and efficiently deliver the Johnson Range Project and create value for our shareholders.” — David Geraghty, Executive Chairman
Development across Forrestania's portfolio continues to advance, with carbon-in-leach commissioning at the Lake Johnston processing facility scheduled to commence during November 2026.
