Forrestania Resources Limited has awarded an estimated A$6 million contract to JWI Contractors Pty Ltd for the Stage 11 raise of the Edna May tailings storage facility in Western Australia, securing additional capacity to support ongoing operations at the site.

The project relies on a staged construction methodology designed to bring extra storage online while building work continues. The initial embankment section is targeted to become operational from mid-November 2026, allowing tailings discharge to commence ahead of final completion. Construction of the remaining embankment raise will then proceed while the facility is actively operating and receiving tailings, with final completion scheduled for March 2027.

JWI brings a track record in tailings storage facility construction and large-scale mine earthworks projects across Western Australia.

The tailings infrastructure contract follows Forrestania's completion of the Edna May Gold Hub acquisition from Ramelius Resources. That transaction added a JORC Mineral Resource of 30.7 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t gold for 945,000 ounces to the company's portfolio. Forrestania is targeting the restart of the 2.9 million tonnes per annum Edna May processing facility in the first half of 2027.

In parallel with preparations at Edna May, the company is advancing work across its wider processing hub strategy, with commissioning of the Lake Johnston processing facility scheduled for November 2026.
