Fortitude Gold Intersects 1.52m at 2.85 g/t Gold at East Camp Douglas
Fortitude Gold Corp. has returned wide, high-grade gold drill intercepts from the East Camp Douglas lithocap target in Mineral County, Nevada, highlighted by hole ECDRC-396 intersecting 1.52 meters grading 2.85 grams per tonne gold within a wider 12.19-meter interval grading 0.87 grams per tonne gold.
Additional highlight results from the reverse circulation drill program include hole ECDRC-376, which yielded 3.05 meters grading 1.76 grams per tonne gold within 9.14 meters grading 0.83 grams per tonne gold, and hole ECDRC-395, returning 3.05 meters grading 1.85 grams per tonne gold inside a 10.67-meter intercept grading 0.77 grams per tonne gold.

The East Camp Douglas lithocap is a 1.5 by 1.0-kilometer hydrothermal alteration zone. Exploration at the D2 Cliffs target has previously identified high-grade structural feeder zones during earlier drilling programs. The company currently operates three exploration drills at the property, backed by a $40 million joint venture agreement with Hawthorne Land & Minerals, LLC initiated earlier this year.
The technical team is incorporating airborne magnetic, radiometric, and Controlled-Source Audio-Frequency Magnetotellurics geophysical surveys alongside Shortwave Infrared alteration mapping to build a 3D structural interpretation and refine targeting for potential feeder zones.
Permitting for the property is advancing, with an Exploration Plan of Operations and Nevada Reclamation Permit application submitted to the Bureau of Land Management and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection. The application seeks to open approximately 25 acres for exploration drilling under the first phase of a multiphase authorization covering up to 150 acres across the lithocap area and northern property sectors.
“As a result of our Joint Venture on the property, all the various geologic studies being conducted, coupled with our ongoing exploration drilling, is advancing East Camp Douglas much faster than the Company could have done alone,” stated Fortitude Gold's CEO and President, Mr. Jason Reid. “Once we are granted the large-scale exploration permit associated with the exploration Plan of Operations, our current efforts position us to transition into a large scale, targeted, and aggressive exploration program to discover new deposits.”
