Fortitude Gold Corp. (OTCQB:FTCO) has released the results from its latest exploration campaign at the East Camp Douglas property in Mineral County, Nevada. The drill program focused on the White Rock West targets, which represent the third set of results released for this area during 2026. The company is currently operating three active drill rigs at the site to test the mineralized structural corridor, which features high-sulfidation style gold mineralization in the northern section of the property.

The company reported several high-grade gold intercepts, including one hole that returned 9.14 meters grading 2.84 grams per tonne (g/t) gold within a wider 21.34-meter interval grading 1.43 g/t gold. Other notable results included 1.52 meters grading 6.64 g/t gold inside a 12.19-meter zone of 2.85 g/t gold, and 1.52 meters grading 5.47 g/t gold within a 4.57-meter intercept of 2.63 g/t gold. These findings provide additional data points as the technical team works to define the geological characteristics of the target area.

Exploration efforts at the project are currently dictated by permitted disturbance limits. The technical team is systematically targeting zones that remain accessible under existing permits while preparing for expanded activity. By continuing to test these specific geological structures, the company aims to move toward a maiden resource estimate for the White Rock West area. Management emphasized that the current drilling is an essential component of this wider strategic objective.

The regulatory timeline for further expansion is now in view. The company expects to receive the Plan of Operation for Exploration in the fourth quarter of 2026. Once granted, this approval will authorize additional disturbance, providing the necessary footprint to further delineate the gold-bearing structural corridor. Until that permit is finalized, the team will maintain its current drill pace in the northern pre-disturbed areas.

The East Camp Douglas property is held through a joint venture, with Fortitude Gold maintaining a 60% ownership stake. The current project activities reflect the operator's focus on advancing this specific exploration target toward a defined resource, leveraging both the ongoing drill results and the anticipated regulatory milestones scheduled for later this year.
