Freeman Gold Corp. has initiated baseline environmental characterization programs for water and air quality at its 100%-owned Lemhi Gold Project in Idaho.

The surveys collect multi-season data to support state and federal permitting, including New Source Review requirements and Point of Compliance Determination applications with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. The company partnered with GSI Environmental Inc., which engaged Trinity Consultants for specialized air quality monitoring and modeling.

The water resource program expands monitoring and develops hydrogeologic and numerical groundwater models. The air quality program deploys continuous mass monitors, a Federal Reference Method sampler, and a 10-metre meteorological tower.

The company previously engaged GSI Environmental in January 2026 following three seasons of baseline water quality monitoring completed between 2022 and 2024. Freeman Gold is preparing its Point of Compliance Determination application.

The environmental work follows an August 2026 feasibility study. The 2023 Preliminary Economic Assessment estimated an after-tax NPV (5%) of US$212.4 million, an IRR of 22.8%, and an 11.2-year mine life, whereas the 2026 study reports a post-tax NPV (5%) of US$696 million, a 34.4% IRR, and a 15.2-year mine life.
