Galantas Gold Corporation has received operational approvals from Chile’s National Geology and Mining Service (SERNAGEOMIN) for the Andacollo Gold project in the Coquimbo Region. The regulatory clearance authorizes the project’s restart under its previously approved operating configuration, spanning mine design, waste disposal, and heap-leach facilities.

The granted permits cover the remaining 11.3 million tonnes in the Tres Perlas open pit and 17.7 million tonnes of waste-rock capacity. The heap-leach facility is authorized for cycles of approximately 2.0 million tonnes, with Phase VI expansion retaining 3.3 million tonnes of capacity. Galantas is permitted to crush up to 15,000 tonnes per day. The authorization period extends for four years from the start of mineral extraction.

Shares in Galantas closed at $0.42, rising 2.44% on August 5, 2026, the day the permitting update was released.

“These approvals represent a major milestone for the Project. They cover the principal mining, waste-disposal and heap-leach components required for the restart of operations. Together with the Project's established environmental permitting framework and approved closure plan, the principal approvals required for restart are now in place. We remain focused on completing installation, rehabilitation, commissioning and operational readiness so production can restart safely, responsibly and efficiently.”

While the primary operational permits are in place, Galantas is awaiting approval of a reactivation application concerning its leach waste dump, known as Resolution No. 1242/2015. The company expects this approval in the coming weeks and does not anticipate any delay to the restart of mining or processing activities.

Galantas has not made a formal production decision, which remains subject to board approval and the completion of site readiness, infrastructure rehabilitation, and commissioning. Chief Operating Officer Brendan Morris has resigned to pursue other opportunities but will remain as a consultant while the company looks for a replacement. Moving forward, the company continues to advance operational-readiness activities and expects to apply for future modifications to support continued operations beyond the current four-year term, including a potential Phase II expansion to 40,000 tonnes per day.
