Galantas Gold Starts 15,000-Metre Drill Program at Andacollo

Galantas Gold Corporation has begun drilling at its Andacollo Gold Project near La Serena, Chile, launching an initial 15,000-metre program designed to test higher-grade gold extensions and copper mineralization.
The first drill rig arrived on site and is setting up to test potential extensions of higher-grade gold mineralization within the Tres Perlas pit area. The opening hole will also evaluate a recently discovered zone of surface sheeted quartz-sulphide veins and explore potential extensions of supergene-enriched chalcocite mineralization associated with the adjacent Carmen de Andacollo mine.
Two additional rigs are expected to arrive within weeks, bringing the active fleet to three drills by the end of September. The program incorporates infill drilling intended to increase confidence in the existing resource model and guide upcoming mine planning.
The current drill campaign shifts the asset from a static estimation model toward active resource expansion. The deposit's pit-constrained resource currently stands at an Indicated resource of 102.4 million tonnes at 0.45 grams per tonne gold containing 1.47 million ounces, alongside an Inferred resource of 347.9 million tonnes at 0.41 grams per tonne gold containing 4.54 million ounces.
Galantas acquired a 100% interest in the project in June 2026 through the purchase of Sol de Oro Mining Ltd. for US$1.5 million in cash and the assumption of underlying obligations. The property operated previously as a heap-leach mine that yielded 1.12 million ounces of gold between 1998 and 2018.
“We are very excited to begin drilling at Andacollo Gold. The exploration team has defined multiple targets for higher grade gold mineralization within the current resource pit shell that could potentially increase the overall gold grade of the Andacollo Gold mineral resource. The team has also identified new targets that could potentially add substantial tonnage of near-surface, higher grade gold mineralization. The program will also test for possible extensions of Teck's adjacent Carmen de Andacollo porphyry copper deposit on our property with the objective of delineating a possible copper resource at Andacollo Gold.”

To support an intended operational restart in the first quarter of 2027, Galantas appointed M3 Engineering & Technology Corporation to lead a Preliminary Economic Assessment. The study is targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
