Gateway Mining Limited has confirmed a high-grade primary gold discovery in fresh rock at the Cowza Prospect within its Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia, returning 41 metres at 2.0 g/t gold from 104 metres, including 9 metres at 7.5 g/t gold from 105 metres in drill hole CZRC057.

The result marks the first reverse circulation drilling to test the primary gold system along the ~4.5-kilometre structure, which was previously delineated through aircore drilling programs. Hole CZRC057 was drilled directly beneath aircore intercept CZAC051, demonstrating the depth potential of the oxide anomalies. A second reverse circulation hole, CZRC054, was collared too far east and ended in the hanging wall without testing the targeted contact, but returned a broad anomalous zone of 52 metres at 0.3 g/t gold from 44 metres, confirming that the fresh-rock system remains extensive and fertile for at least two kilometres further north.

The Cowza structure forms part of a larger emerging gold corridor that includes Celia South and Ward, representing more than 13 kilometres of combined mineralised strike along the same lithological contact. Prior to the fresh-rock discovery, Gateway Mining systematically evaluated regional gold prospects across the Yandal project, including Haflinger, Hummer, Mustang, and Rubicon.

Reverse circulation drilling is continuing at the prospect, with diamond rigs scheduled to arrive later this month to provide additional structural data. To support ongoing exploration, the company recently liquidated its portfolio of liquid securities, yielding gross proceeds of $8.23 million in additional cash.
