Gateway Mining Secures $45 Million Placement to Fast-Track Yandal Drilling
Gateway Mining Limited has secured firm commitments for a $45 million share placement to fund an aggressive exploration campaign across its flagship Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia.
The placement comprises the issue of 562.5 million new shares at $0.08 per share. The capital raising was heavily supported by existing shareholders alongside new institutional, professional, and sophisticated investors. Jupiter Asset Management provided cornerstone support with a A$20 million commitment, while JP Equity Partners acted as sole lead manager.
The financing builds on approximately $15.1 million in cash and liquid securities held by Gateway as at 30 June 2026. Settlement of the new shares is scheduled for 15 September 2026, with allotment expected on 16 September 2026.
Funds will directly support extensive reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs across multiple targets, including Cowza, Celia South, Ward, Haflinger, Dusk 'til Dawn, and Horse Well. Proceeds will also fund resource estimation work at Yandal, alongside regional exploration at the Glenburgh South and Barrelmaker projects.
“We are delighted with the exceptionally strong support for the Company's $45 million capital raising. The quality of the book and the calibre of incoming institutions are a ringing endorsement of Gateway's exploration strategy and the success we have delivered to date. We now have an outstanding financial platform to accelerate exploration activities across our flagship Yandal Gold Project.”
— Andrew Bray, Executive Chairman
The capital injection follows recent drilling success at the Cowza prospect within the broader 13-kilometre mineralised corridor.
“The recent RC result at Cowza delivered 41 metres at 2.0g/t Au, including 9 metres at 7.5g/t Au1, confirming the presence of a substantial, high-grade primary mineralised system in fresh rock. Importantly, this is just the beginning of what we believe could be a much larger system, with extensive anomalism yet to be tested along the broader mineralised corridor. The corridor is currently defined across more than 13 kilometres of strike at Cowza, Celia South and Ward.”
— Andrew Bray, Executive Chairman
The Yandal asset serves as Gateway Mining's primary focus, with the multi-prospect exploration campaign supported by approximately 120,000 metres of drilling across the project area.
