Geiger Hits 50 Metres of Elevated Radioactivity in First Hole at Fox Zone
Geiger Energy Corporation has made a new uranium discovery at the Fox Zone on its Aberdeen Project in Nunavut’s Thelon Basin, intersecting approximately 50 metres of elevated radioactivity in the first-ever drill hole completed at the target.
Drill hole FOX26-001 intersected two main mineralized intervals, comprising a 20-metre zone from 173 to 193 metres and a 30-metre zone from 200 to 230 metres, where radiometric counts largely exceeded 100 counts per second and locally surpassed 500 counts per second. The hole reached a total depth of 350 metres, with sporadic elevated radioactivity continuing from near surface to the end of the hole.

The mineralization is associated with a strongly altered quartz breccia stockwork along the Andrew Lake Fault. The system displays extensive clay alteration, limonite, sooty pyrite, and intervals of near-massive specular hematite. Geiger noted that radioactivity measurements were taken using a handheld scintillometer, which provides a qualitative indication of radioactive minerals and does not replace geochemical assays.
The Aberdeen Project is Geiger’s flagship asset in the Thelon Basin, encompassing 95,519 hectares and hosting more than 50 high-priority targets alongside the high-grade Tatiggaq and Qavvik discoveries. Previous drilling programs at the property focused on the Loki and Tatiggaq targets, but the current campaign has expanded testing to the previously undrilled Fox Zone.
The target sits directly on the Andrew Lake Fault structural corridor, along strike from Orano's Kiggavik-area deposits. That structural corridor extends approximately 17 kilometres across Geiger's property and contains multiple untested gravity anomalies, with Fox comprising two conjoined gravity lows spanning about 1.3 kilometres.

With 17 kilometres of that corridor on Geiger's property and a series of untested gravity anomalies of the same character, Fox is not just one encouraging drill hole — it potentially opens a new exploration front across Aberdeen.”
Geiger will conduct follow-up drilling at the Fox Zone to evaluate the mineralized system within the 1.3-kilometre gravity anomaly in 2026 and beyond.
