Geiger Hits Second Uranium Discovery in First Hole at Apollo

Geiger Energy Corp. has made its second grassroots uranium discovery at the Aberdeen Project in Nunavut’s Thelon Basin, intersecting elevated radioactivity in the first-ever drill hole completed at the Apollo target.

Drill hole APL26-001 intersected approximately 16 metres of elevated radioactivity across two zones from 206 to 210 metres and 216 to 228 metres depth. Readings within these sections largely exceed 80 counts per second, with intervals above 200 counts per second and locally surpassing 400 counts per second. Additional elevated radioactivity begins at approximately 68 metres depth, with alteration continuing to the end of the 384-metre hole.

The discovery comes just two weeks after Geiger reported a first-hole uranium discovery at the Fox target, located 10 kilometres to the northeast. Both targets sit directly on the Andrew Lake Fault corridor, which extends approximately 17 kilometres across the Aberdeen property.

The Aberdeen Project serves as the company's flagship asset in the Thelon Basin, hosting the high-grade Tatiggaq and Qavvik discoveries alongside more than 50 high-priority targets. The Andrew Lake structural corridor is shared with Orano's Kiggavik-area deposits, which lie along strike and collectively host approximately 133 million pounds of uranium resources.

Radioactivity measurements were recorded using a handheld scintillometer, which provides a qualitative indication of radioactive minerals only and does not substitute for geochemical assay grades.

“Two grassroots targets, two discoveries each with the first hole,” said Rebecca Hunter, President and CEO of Geiger Energy. “That is not luck. It is the targeting model doing exactly what we said it would do at Aberdeen. Kiggavik, Fox and Apollo sit on one structure, with the same alteration and the same style of mineralization Orano's trend runs onto our ground, and we have now proven it is fertile in two places, ten kilometres apart. With more than 50 targets across Aberdeen and a basin that is shallow and wide open. We believe this is the beginning of a new uranium district.”

With the targeting model validated across both grassroots tests, the exploration team will conduct follow-up drilling at Apollo to define the scale of the system across the 3.7-kilometre anomaly. Geiger will also systematically test additional anomalies along the Andrew Lake Fault corridor through the remainder of the 2026 program.
