Gemdale Gold Commences Phase 2 Infill Drilling and Metallurgy at Pontio

Gemdale Gold Inc. has commenced a 2,000 to 3,000-metre Phase 2 infill diamond drilling programme and initiated metallurgical testing at its 100% owned Pontio Gold Project in western-central Finland.
The campaign follows the completion of a 5,009-metre, 28-hole Phase 1 drilling programme in the first half of 2026. The initial work confirmed and extended near-surface gold mineralisation across the N1, N2, and S1 sectors of the +4-kilometre M2 Trend. Phase 2 will focus initially on the S1 sector, reducing drill profile spacing from approximately 100 metres to 50 metres to define the continuity and geometry of the mineralised zones.
“The successful completion of our initial 5,000 metre drilling programme has provided further confidence in the scale, continuity and impressive widths of the near surface gold mineralisation across the N1, N2 and S1 Sectors of the M2 Trend at Pontio. We are now moving rapidly into Phase 2, where tighter drill spacing will allow us to further define these zones ahead of our planned Mineral Resource Estimate in early 2027.”

In parallel with the drilling, Gemdale has started a metallurgical testwork programme with SLR Consulting Ltd. at its Mineral Processing Department in the United Kingdom. The work is designed to evaluate potential processing routes and determine gold recoveries across representative mineralised material from the flagship project.
“We are also very pleased to have commenced metallurgical test work with SLR Consulting Ltd. in the UK. Understanding potential processing options and gold recoveries is an important next step in evaluating the economic potential of the project.”

The company plans to deliver a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for Pontio in early 2027 following the completion of the Phase 2 infill drilling. Remaining assay results from the Phase 1 program are expected to be reported in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, wider regional activity in the district continued to highlight gold and copper potential, with recent step-out drilling results at the Kopsa project returning 34 metres grading 0.92 g/t gold and 0.12% copper from 231 metres downhole.
