Gold Orogen Resources Corp. has commenced its 2026 exploration program across the McIntyre Brook and Riley Brook gold properties in northwestern New Brunswick, backed by a $1.55 million exploration budget.

The project is located on the Iapetus Suture belt within the Bathurst mining camp and is adjacent to the Kinross-Puma joint venture project. Work at McIntyre Brook centres on drilling, supported by trenching across six priority trenches and field mapping following a late-2025 drill program that confirmed a traceable mineralized structural zone.

At Riley Brook, Gold Orogen is undertaking an inaugural field program and sampling ahead of a maiden drill program, collecting approximately 1,500 soil samples across three grids to extend a 3-kilometre gold-tungsten-antimony anomaly and test new grids.

“The 2026 program follows up a successful 2025 program where we drill tested geological continuity of Kinross-Puma’s contiguous mineral discovery Williams Brook at McIntyre Brook and further refines it for drilling this year. At Riley Brook, this is the first significant field program and sampling ahead of a maiden drill program, which could significantly expand our mineral potential at both properties,” comments Gary Wong, VP Exploration of Gold Orogen.
