GoldHaven Resources Corp. has engaged Layne do Brasil Ltda. to execute a 1,650-metre, eight-hole diamond drilling program at the West Target of its 100%-owned Copeçal Gold Project in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Mobilization is scheduled to commence by mid-August 2026, with the program slated for completion before year-end.

The upcoming campaign follows the company's inaugural drilling at the site, which identified a mineralized system featuring sheeted quartz veining and hydrothermal alteration. GoldHaven intends to use the Phase II program to test the interpreted fold geometry of the system, targeting lateral, down-dip, and down-plunge extensions of known target horizons.

“Copeçal has earned this next phase of drilling. Our inaugural program confirmed bedrock gold in all four West Target holes, together with sheeted quartz veining, fold-controlled enrichment and hydrothermal alteration across the system confirming a coherent mineralized system with encouraging geological continuity.”

“What we have not yet tested is the core of it. Phase II is designed to follow the fold geometry down-plunge and along strike into the portions of the system that no drill has reached. We have eight holes planned and a clear geological model to test. I believe the results will tell us whether this system has the continuity and grade to become something meaningful.”

While the company advances exploration at Copeçal, it continues to identify the Magno Project in northern British Columbia as its flagship asset. GoldHaven stock is currently trading 5.26% higher.
