Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd has intersected high-grade gold mineralisation at the Val discovery, returning 0.9m at 23.0g/t Au from 311.3m in hole VIVEX025 at the Vivien Gold Project in Western Australia.

The latest drilling program has extended the Val prospect over 400m of strike and 400m down-dip, with multiple parallel lodes identified and the system remaining open in all directions. Hole VIVEX025 also intersected 4.5m at 4.0g/t Au from 321.9m, situated 150m down-dip of previous drilling in the southern portion of the prospect.

In addition, hole VIVEX020 returned 5.1m at 2.3g/t Au from 291.6m within a new footwall position located 100m into the footwall of the main Val lode. Down-hole electromagnetic surveying continues to outline conductors supporting these new positions.

The Val prospect lies 30m from the western pit wall and 70m from underground infrastructure at Vivien, which is located 10km west of Leinster. The project hosts an existing Mineral Resource of 278,000oz at 4.2g/t Au and has historically produced 370,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of ~5.5g/t Au.

Dewatering of the Vivien underground mine under an agreement with Goldfields Agnew is scheduled to commence soon. Drilling is also scheduled to recommence at the Vivien Gold Project in the coming weeks to target further growth at the Vince and Val Prospects.
