Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has received a favorable Regional Manager's Decision from the State of Alaska authorizing a road easement for development on state land at the New Amalga Gold Project in Southeast Alaska.

Establishing access from the public highway requires 3.4 miles of road development, with over one-third located on state land and the remainder on federal US Forest Service land. The state decision authorizes an easement divided into two phases.

Phase One covers an initial road segment and a helicopter operations staging area, which will reduce helicopter shuttle distances for equipment and supplies by approximately 60% compared to the previous staging area in the Juneau Mendenhall Valley suburbs. Phase Two encompasses the remainder of the mine access road up to the federal land border. While Phase Two construction is contingent on receiving federal US Forest Service authorizations, its inclusion means the company will not need to undergo a separate easement application process with the State of Alaska.

Grande Portage is awaiting federal US Forest Service authorizations and environmental review for the Phase Two road easement and broader mining operation.
