The New Amalga Gold Project in Alaska has been accepted as a "Covered Project" under the federal FAST-41 permitting program as of July 30, 2026. This designation introduces a structured regulatory process designed to improve the coordination, transparency, and accountability of federal environmental reviews and authorizations for the project.

By entering the FAST-41 program, Grande Portage will now work with the Permitting Council, the US Forest Service, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and other relevant federal agencies to establish a definitive permitting and regulatory timeline.
