Great Atlantic Resources Corp. has started its 2026 prospecting and rock geochemical sampling program at the 100% owned South Quarry Tungsten Property in central Newfoundland.

The field work is underway across priority targets based on previous soil anomalies and anomalous rock samples. The exploration team is collecting samples for multi-element analysis, including tungsten and gold assays. Results will be reported once received, verified and interpreted.

In addition, the company has received regulatory clearance from the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Energy and Mines authorizing up to six excavator trenches and new access trails within the northern region of the property across Mineral Licences 026556M and 027365M. Excavation is scheduled to begin in early September to target areas of scheelite mineralization identified through historical work by Kidd Creek Mines and Falconbridge. All trench sites will be rehabilitated in accordance with provincial regulations.

“We are very pleased to be on the ground at South Quarry with our 2026 prospecting program underway and our six-trench exploration approval in hand,” said Christopher R. Anderson, President and CEO of Great Atlantic. “Tungsten is one of the most strategic critical metals in the world today, and South Quarry gives our shareholders direct exposure to it in one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world.”
