Great Divide Mining Restates 169,700 Ounce Gold Resource at Adelong
Great Divide Mining Ltd has restated the JORC 2012 Mineral Resources for the Adelong Gold Project in southern New South Wales, reporting a combined resource of approximately 1.55 million tonnes at 3.41 grams per tonne gold for 169,700 ounces of contained gold.
The restated figures comprise estimates previously prepared by independent geological consultant GeoRes for former project owners across the Challenger, Currajong, Caledonian and Donkey Hill deposits. The Adelong resource update incorporates no new drilling or exploration data generated by Great Divide Mining, which secured 100% ownership of the project in February 2026.
The consolidated inventory carries a confidence profile with approximately 92,500 ounces, or 55% of the total contained gold, classified in the Measured and Indicated categories. The remaining 77,200 ounces are classified as Inferred. By individual deposit, Challenger holds the largest share with 663,000 tonnes at 3.77 grams per tonne for 80,300 ounces, followed by Currajong at 44,800 ounces, Caledonian at 28,000 ounces, and Donkey Hill contributing 16,600 ounces at a grade of 5.03 grams per tonne.
The historical goldfield has recorded past underground production of approximately 380,000 ounces from narrow, high-grade quartz-vein systems. GeoRes used a default rock density of 2.7 tonnes per cubic metre for the resource models, while incorporating 18,200 cubic metres of filled stopes at a lower density of 1.5 tonnes per cubic metre at Challenger and excluding identified stope voids. Reported tonnages for Currajong, Caledonian and Donkey Hill may include material within historical underground workings because available records did not permit those voids to be reliably modelled.
“The restatement confirms that GDM's Adelong Project hosts a substantial, high-grade gold resource, with approximately 55% of the contained gold already classified in the Measured and Indicated categories.”
— Justin Haines, Chief Executive Officer
The Adelong resource update arrives as Great Divide Mining advances commercial operations at the Challenger Gold Mine, where processing commenced earlier this year under a 12-month concentrate sales agreement with MRI Trading AG that runs through to June 30, 2027. The company intends to use the consolidated resource baseline to prioritise verification work and assess opportunities to enhance confidence and grow the existing inventory across the Adelong tenure.
Great Divide Mining plans to apply the restated Adelong dataset to guide its upcoming exploration planning, technical reviews and future project studies.
