Geophysics Defines Undrilled Targets at Douglas Creek
Great Northern Minerals has completed a dipole-dipole induced polarisation geophysical survey and detailed magnetic inversion at the Douglas Creek Project in Queensland, identifying at least three undrilled chargeability anomalies and a large reverse-polarised intrusive tonalite body.
The geophysical program was designed to detect large accumulations of disseminated sulphide and silicification at depth. Magnetic inversion modelling revealed a reversely polarised tonalite body measuring 1.5 kilometres by 500 metres that extends to a depth of approximately one kilometre.
According to the company, previous drilling at the project averaged just 50 metres in depth, meaning earlier work was significantly too shallow to test the newly defined anomalies. Previous exploration at Douglas Creek confirmed multiple zones of intrusion-related gold mineralisation, including rock chip samples returning up to 8.6 g/t gold, 598 g/t silver, and 11.0% copper.
To fund ongoing exploration across its portfolio, the company allocated proceeds from the April 2026 divestment of its minority interest in Golden Ant, which provided $4.4 million in cash reserves.
A follow-up soil sampling program has now been mobilised to extend the grid over the southern induced polarisation anomaly, alongside stream sediment sampling over northern reversely polarised features.

Great Northern Minerals expects drill testing at the Douglas Creek Project to be completed in mid-2027 following the conclusion of the upcoming wet season and the finalisation of necessary permits.
