Great Northern Minerals Limited has secured Alford Drilling LLC to execute its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Iron Butte Gold-Silver Project in Lander County, Nevada.

The upcoming campaign will comprise approximately 3,000 metres of drilling, targeting resource growth along strike and at depth. The program will also test the potential for Carlin-style gold and silver mineralisation beneath the existing resource.

Great Northern Minerals completed a maiden Inferred Mineral Resource estimate for Iron Butte in June 2026, comprising 37.85 million tonnes at 0.4 g/t gold and 6 g/t silver for 480,000 ounces of gold and 6.7 million ounces of silver, alongside 19.25 million tonnes at 8 g/t silver for 4.8 million ounces of silver.

The company acquired a 100% exploration lease and option over the project in April 2026, gaining access to historical data generated by previous operators including Chevron, Newcrest, and Newmont. Previous operators completed approximately 23,000 metres of historical drilling across 148 drill holes at the site.

A drill permit application, submitted as a Notice of Intent, has been lodged with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Final permit approval remains pending upon the processing of the required bond.
