Great Southern Mining Commences Major Drilling at Golden Boulder
Great Southern Mining Limited (GSN) has commenced a substantial 15,000-metre reverse circulation drilling program at its Duketon gold project in Western Australia. The explorer is targeting the Golden Boulder discovery, where gold mineralisation is already defined across a 3.5-kilometre strike length. The current operation aims to test the continuity of mineralised zones, extend the target at depth, and identify potential high-grade lodes within the broader project area.
The drill program at Golden Boulder is expected to span 10 to 12 weeks. Once this phase concludes, the rig is scheduled to mobilise to the nearby Amy Clarke discovery, located four kilometres to the northeast, to begin further exploration. These activities remain central to the company’s ongoing efforts to advance its project pipeline within the Laverton district.
Simultaneously, the company is progressing its Mon Ami Gold Project. Teams have recently finalised 16 holes of reverse circulation drilling at that site, completing approximately 3,100 metres of work. Initial assay results from this program are expected to be released to the market within three to four weeks.
The ongoing field programs follow the successful settlement of an equity placement, which has ensured the company is fully funded for these planned exploration activities. By simultaneously advancing multiple prospects, the explorer aims to maintain steady operational momentum. The work at Golden Boulder represents a significant focus for the company as it seeks to define the extent and structural potential of the Rosemont Shear Zone. By rotating rig availability between Golden Boulder and Amy Clarke, the company is positioning itself to evaluate the broader economic potential of the tenement package through the remainder of the year.
