Great Southern Mining Limited has returned assay results from the first six holes of a 16-hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Mon Ami Gold Project, highlighted by an intercept of 16 metres at 3.37 grams per tonne gold from 178 metres.

The drilling program, totaling 3,089 metres at the project located 12 kilometres south of Laverton in Western Australia, extended known mineralisation by up to 70 metres down dip and 55 metres down plunge. Hole 26MARC001 returned 16 metres at 3.37 grams per tonne gold from 178 metres, including a 4-metre section at 8.54 grams per tonne and 2 metres at 6.86 grams per tonne.

Hole 26MARC004 intersected 6 metres at 1.83 grams per tonne gold from 150 metres and 16 metres at 1.28 grams per tonne from 281 metres. Hole 26MARC006 yielded 19 metres at 1.12 grams per tonne gold from 213 metres.

Managing Director Matthew Keane said the initial findings pointed to strong upside for the asset.

The Mon Ami Gold Project is held on granted Mining Licence M 38/1256 and includes a granted haulage route licence connecting the deposit to the Elora-Mount Weld sealed road. Great Southern Mining considers Mon Ami a near-term development opportunity due to its proximity to multiple operating and planned gold processing facilities within a 50-kilometre trucking radius.

The company expects assay results for 10 reverse circulation holes at the Blanc Platt target north of Mon Ami within one to two weeks, and anticipates assay results for 38 completed holes at the Golden Boulder discovery within the Duketon Gold Project in the coming weeks.

Drilling operations remain active across Great Southern Mining's broader portfolio, including ongoing reverse circulation work at the Duketon Gold Project's Amy Clarke discovery and diamond drilling at the Mt Dillon target within the Edinburgh Park Project in Northern Queensland, which is being conducted in joint venture with Goldfields.
