Greatland Resources Ltd. (ASX: GGP) has announced two senior leadership changes to oversee its core Australian mining assets. The company appointed Nick Strong as Chief Operating Officer, while Otto Richter will transition from his current role as Acting COO to the position of Chief Technical Officer. These shifts aim to bolster the company's operational oversight and technical planning as it continues to advance its integrated mining hub.

Mr. Strong, an engineer with over 25 years of industry experience, will officially join the business on 5 October 2026. His responsibilities will include managing the Telfer mine and overseeing the development of the Havieron underground project. Mr. Strong previously served in leadership roles at Northern Star Resources, where he managed growth workstreams for major gold assets. He will work alongside the existing site leadership to maintain operational performance at the processing facility while steering the ongoing brownfield development at the adjacent Havieron site.

Managing Director Shaun Day highlighted the appointment as a key step in managing the company’s current portfolio and upcoming development requirements.

In his new role as Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Richter will focus on strategic mine planning and long-term development goals. Having joined the company in 2021, he previously led technical due diligence for the acquisition of the current project portfolio and oversaw Ore Reserves compilation. He will now dedicate his efforts to technical studies for expansion initiatives, including the West Dome Underground project.
