Green Technology Metals Limited has received formal confirmation from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources confirming the completion of the Environmental Assessment process for the Seymour Lithium Project in northwestern Ontario.

The milestone follows the project description submitted by the company in November 2022, which subsequently secured a Category B environmental classification from the ministry in September 2023. Category B designates operations with low to medium environmental impacts, aligning with the Seymour project's operational flowsheet that uses no chemicals and relies on gravity-based separation and processing to deliver a marketable concentrate.

The latest regulatory step builds upon prior groundwork completed at the project, where the company secured three required mining leases from the Ontario Ministry of Mines in August 2025 to cover the proposed mine and concentrator infrastructure area. The project hosts a global Mineral Resource estimate totaling 10.3 million tonnes at 1.07% Li2O, 129 ppm Ta2O5, and 0.27% Rb2O.

With the environmental assessment finalized, Green Technology Metals is progressing through remaining permitting workflows alongside Indigenous partners.

The company is currently reviewing the proposed mine closure plan for the reduced project footprint, water storage containment, and hybrid open pit and underground mining strategy with Indigenous partners and local groups. Green Technology Metals is targeting the completion and submission of the Seymour Project mine closure plan to the ministry during calendar year 2026.

Once filed, the closure plan and the completed environmental assessment will allow the subsequent issuance of operational permits, including the permit to remove timber, air and sewage environmental compliance approvals, water infrastructure approvals under the Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act, and permits to take water for operations.
