Greenland Mines Completes Bulk-Sampling Program at Skaergaard and Advances Sarfartoq Fieldwork

Greenland Mines Ltd has completed its 2026 bulk-sample blasting program at the Skaergaard project in East Greenland, collecting 104.8 tons of mineralised and host material across seven sites to exceed its original seasonal target. The company operates a dual-project critical minerals platform anchored by Skaergaard and the Sarfartoq rare earth project.
The program’s three major sites targeted the toe area in front of Forbindelsesgletscher, focusing on palladium-dominant Horizon 0, gold-dominant Horizon 3, and vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite horizons within the Skaergaard gabbro sequence. Greenland Mines also collected four medium-sized samples from outcropping horizons 5 and 0 for variability studies.
The bulk sample bags will be shipped to GTK Mintec in Finland for pilot-scale test work aimed at establishing an efficient processing route. Greenlandic contractor Permagreen carried out the blasting alongside the technical team, while independent specialists collected data for upcoming technical studies. The company also completed a ground-penetrating radar survey to measure surface cover thickness for engineering work.

At Sarfartoq, the company has opened and fully manned its exploration camp following the formal closing of the acquisition on September 1, 2026. Under the agreement, Neo Performance Materials became a strategic shareholder in Greenland Mines and secured offtake rights for up to 60% of future Sarfartoq production for its Silmet separation facility in Estonia.

A consultancy team from WSP Denmark has conducted the second year of environmental baseline studies, fulfilling the minimum two-year period required by Greenland’s Environmental Agency for Mineral Resource Activities. Concurrently, a geological and structural mapping team led by consulting structural geologist Jeroen van Gool has commenced a three-week program across the northern license to refine understanding of the ST1 resource zone and surrounding targets.
