Greenland Mines Delivers First Indicated Resource and Hybrid Model for Sarfartoq

Greenland Mines Ltd has delivered its first SEC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate for the Sarfartoq rare earths project in southwest Greenland, shifting the asset from historical Inferred status to include an Indicated category for the first time.
The S-K 1300 technical report summary, prepared by Tetra Tech Canada and GeoSim Services with an effective date of July 31, 2026, establishes a hybrid open-pit and underground resource totaling 12.2 million tonnes grading 1.32% total rare earth oxides across the ST1 deposit. This combined approach includes 6.9 million tonnes at 1.60% total rare earth oxides classified as Indicated, alongside 5.3 million tonnes at 0.96% classified as Inferred.
The new modeling changes Greenland Mines’ disclosed position from previous technical assessments conducted in 2011 and 2012, which evaluated the deposit under single-method scenarios and classified the entirety of the ST1 zone resource exclusively as Inferred. The 2026 estimate is informed by 94 core holes totaling 23,094 metres out of a wider project database of 161 holes spanning approximately 35,800 metres.
“For over 15 years, Sarfartoq has been recognized as one of the most strategically important undeveloped neodymium-praseodymium deposits outside of China, but it has never before carried an Indicated category resource, and it has never before been assessed under a combined open pit and underground scenario for Mineral Resource Estimate. “At 2025 consumption levels, the neodymium and praseodymium oxide already identified within this resource — approximately 40,700 tonnes contained in the Indicated and Inferred categories combined — is equivalent to roughly five years of all NdPr oxide refined outside China in 2025. The ST1 resource zone occupies under one percent of the 191-square-kilometre Sarfartoq license package. The property also contains five other known rare earth occurrences—ST40, ST19, ST24, ST31, and ST43—alongside additional early-stage targets across the carbonatite complex.
Following the release of the technical report summary, Greenland Mines intends to advance planning toward an updated Initial Assessment for the Sarfartoq project, utilizing the hybrid open-pit and underground resource framework.
