Group Eleven Discovers New Mineralization at Stonepark Project
Group Eleven Resources Corp. (TSXV: ZNG) has identified a new zone of zinc-lead mineralization at its Stonepark project in Ireland. The discovery, made via hole 26-2638-07, intercepted 14.7 metres grading 2.0% zinc and lead, including a high-grade interval of 2.8 metres grading 8.3% zinc and lead. The drill hole is located 550 metres from the current project mineral resource boundary, testing an area previously unexplored by the company.
This specific intercept confirms the presence of massive to semi-massive sulphides within the Waulsortian Limestone, a geological formation central to the company’s exploration model. The company also intersected a separate, lower zone measuring 16.1 metres at 0.4% zinc in the same hole. While the primary objective of this drilling was to target base metal mineralization, the company also extended the hole to a total depth of 894 metres to evaluate deeper copper-silver potential, with those assay results currently pending.
The project, in which Group Eleven holds a 78.62% interest, sits within the Limerick Volcanic Complex. The company’s exploration strategy here is structured around identifying deposits that mirror the geological characteristics of the nearby Pallas Green mine. Two additional holes are scheduled for completion as part of the current 2,700-metre drill campaign at the site. Looking ahead, the company is preparing for a larger 12,800-metre drill program, which is expected to commence between late 2026 and early 2027, subject to receiving the necessary board approvals.
As the company progresses through its current project pipeline, the technical findings from this latest step-out hole will inform future resource development strategy. The company intends to integrate these results with broader regional data to refine its target models across the Limerick Volcanic Complex. While the current 2,700-metre drilling campaign at Stonepark continues, the team is simultaneously evaluating the structural implications of the recent discovery to guide the placement of the follow-up holes slated for the upcoming, more extensive drill program. The focus remains on unlocking additional value within the project’s immediate locality, leveraging the geological data gathered from recent successful intercepts to expand the known footprint of mineralized material. With multiple rigs operational across its Irish assets, the company remains focused on systematic exploration and technical execution over the coming months.
Operations are also moving forward at the company’s nearby PG West project, where the Ballywire discovery remains a priority. Current activities at that site involve four active drill rigs focused on defining the southwestern extent of the discovery. These exploration efforts are supported by a shareholder base that includes institutional and individual investors, notably Michael Gentile and Glencore Canada Corp., who together maintain a significant combined interest in the company.
