GSP Completes Expanded Phase 1 Drilling at Alwin and Mer Properties
GSP Resource Corp. has completed its 2026 Phase 1 diamond drilling program at the 100%-owned Alwin Mine and Mer properties in southwestern British Columbia, totaling approximately 1,801 metres across eight holes.
The completed meterage exceeds the upper end of the company’s initially planned 1,200 to 1,500-metre program by roughly 20%. The expansion was driven by the addition and extension of drill holes at both properties based on alteration and mineralization observed directly in drill core.
The maiden drill program at the Mer property comprised four holes totaling approximately 651 metres. This included hole ME-26-04, which was extended on the strength of logged alteration and mineralization to a final depth of 292.7 metres, making it the deepest drill hole completed at the property to date. All four holes at Mer intersected near-surface visible copper mineralization, testing historic percussion drilling and a 175 by 120-metre copper-in-soil anomaly defined during the company’s 2025 geochemical program. Drill core from Mer displayed fracture-related potassic, chloritic and silicification alteration hosted in granodiorite of the Guichon Creek Batholith.
At the Alwin Mine target, drilling totalled approximately 1,150 metres across four step-out holes designed to follow up on high-grade gold-copper intercepts returned in 2024. Each hole yielded mineralized zones with visual characteristics consistent with the modelled mineral resource vein lodes.
All drill core has been logged, sampled, and submitted to ALS Canada Ltd. in Kamloops for multi-element and precious metals analysis. GSP Resource Corp. expects assay results from the Phase 1 program to be released in stages through the third quarter of 2026, with Alwin Mine results anticipated first.
Funding for the exploration work was supported by an oversubscribed private placement closing on May 14, 2026, which raised gross proceeds of $1.22 million.
“Based on the strength of visual indications of copper mineralization, our maiden drill program at Mer was a success,” commented Simon Dyakowski, CEO of GSP Resource Corp. “The program was expanded beyond plan on the strength of the alteration and mineralization logged in core, finishing with the deepest hole ever drilled at the property. Together with the four holes completed at Alwin following up on the high-grade gold-copper intercepts of our 2024 program, Phase 1 has delivered more metres than planned across both properties. We look forward to a steady flow of assay results in the weeks ahead.”
