Guanajuato Silver Appoints Chief Operating Officer

Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. has appointed Colin Bower as Chief Operating Officer to oversee its mining operations in Mexico.
Mr. Bower brings over 35 years of industry experience to the role, having previously held senior management positions with major resource companies including First Majestic Silver, Barrick, BHP, and KGHM. His operational background includes managing underground precious metals assets, such as the San Dimas, Santa Elena, and La Encantada mines. At Guanajuato Silver, he will take charge of driving safety, operational performance, productivity, and growth execution across the company's producing silver and gold assets in Guanajuato, alongside the Topia mine in Durango.
The appointment of Mr. Bower follows previous senior management additions, including the appointment of David Paxton to the Board of Directors in March 2026.
“We are extremely fortunate to attract a mining executive of such proven ability and astute business acumen. In every assignment, Colin has demonstrated a remarkable ability to strengthen mining assets across the three pillars of safety, production, and profitability. His most recent tenure gives him extensive operating experience in Mexican underground mines that closely parallel those held within our production portfolio; he is the ideal leader to help take Guanajuato Silver to the next level of growth.”
