Hawk Resources Limited has completed its 11-hole drilling programme along the Cactus Corridor at the Cactus copper-gold project in Utah, USA, returning visible copper mineralisation in four of the final five holes.

The final phase of drilling targeted the Cactus zone of the 550-metre Comet-Cactus zone, with the last hole, DD26CT016, drilled at the northwestern end of the zone. Spot portable XRF readings on drill core from the final batch graded up to 35.5% copper. In total, the completed 11-hole programme intersected visible copper mineralisation in eight holes. This compares with previous reporting for the corridor programme, which recorded visible copper mineralisation in five of seven completed holes in the Comet zone.

The mineralisation in the final holes occurs primarily in tourmaline breccia as veinlets, veins, fractures, coarse blebs, and disseminations. However, hole DD26CT012 intersected mineralisation in altered intrusive rock, which is interpreted to lie on the margin of the breccia. The final hole, DD26CT016, intersected a downhole length of 45 metres of visible copper mineralisation, indicating that the mineralised zone remains open towards the New Years prospect.

Hawk has advanced the Cactus copper-gold project through multiple successive drilling campaigns along the one-kilometre Cactus Corridor, which encompasses the Comet, Cactus, and New Years prospects.

The most exciting aspect of the drilling is the intersection of copper mineralisation in the last two holes, DD26CT015 & CT016 at the northwestern end of historical drilling into the Cactus deposit which indicates that the mineralisation zone is open towards New Years. The copper occurs in coarse blebs, fractures, veins, veinlets and disseminations primarily in tourmaline breccia however in hole DD26CT012 it occurs in altered intrusive which is interpreted to be on the margin of breccia.”

Drill core samples from the programme have been sent to ALS laboratories for analysis. Hawk expects to receive the laboratory assay results in early October 2026.
