Hawk Resources Secures Final Approval to Begin Olympus Scandium Exploration

Hawk Resources Limited has obtained final government approval from the Western Australian Minister for Mines, clearing the path to begin active field exploration at the Olympus scandium project.

The ministerial clearance represents the final regulatory hurdle for the West Musgrave tenement package. It follows the earlier receipt of a Mining Entry Permit issued by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, alongside an executed Agreement for Mineral Exploration and a completed Cultural Heritage Survey with the Ngaanyatjarra Traditional Owners. Field crews are now mobilizing to the site to carry out initial soil and rock sampling across an 80-square-kilometre priority area.

The upcoming soil and rock sampling programs are structured to validate and refine high-priority targets ahead of a planned rotary air blast drilling campaign designed to fast-track testing across the tenement.

Hawk secured an option to earn up to an 80% interest in the project through a binding heads of agreement entered into on October 17, 2025. To support the current on-ground exploration push, the company raised $1.11 million through a pro-rata entitlement offer completed in June 2026.

Regional interest in the broader West Musgrave district has also remained active, underscored by Terra Metals Limited reporting assay results from its Dante project situated approximately 16.2 kilometres away, where drillhole SWRD057 extended high-grade reef mineralisation 360 metres along strike by returning 177 metres grading 0.88g/t 3E and 0.16% nickel from 151 metres.
