Heavy Rare Earths Expands Subron Project Footprint By 268% To Secure High-Grade Targets
Heavy Rare Earths Limited has applied for two new exploration licences covering 410 square kilometres at its Subron rare earth project in Western Australia, expanding the total project area by 268% to 562 square kilometres.
The tenure applications, designated E63/2595 and E63/2596, encompass 142 blocks secured for a modest cost of less than $30,000 in application fees and upfront rent. The expanded ground brings more than 50 kilometres of prospective sub-parallel structural corridors under the control of Heavy Rare Earths.
Crucially, the new applications capture the interpreted strike extensions of the Blume, Hunley, and Seawolf prospects. Previous drilling across these targets returned standout heavy rare earth intercepts, including an 8-metre intersection at 3,057 parts per million total rare earth oxides and 1,344 parts per million heavy rare earth oxides with a 42% heavy ratio from a depth of 27 metres at Seawolf.

Formerly known as the Cowalinya rare earth project, Subron is located in the Norseman-Esperance region of Western Australia. The asset currently hosts a JORC mineral resource of 159 million tonnes at 870 parts per million total rare earth oxides.
Heavy Rare Earths is advancing a strategic review of the project led by rare earths consultant Claudio Sheriff. The company is engaging a resource geologist to re-domain the existing mineral resource estimate to delineate a smaller, higher-grade heavy rare earth resource. Upcoming work programs include heritage access fast-tracking for the newly acquired tenure, metallurgical testwork targeting specific geological layers to simplify processing, and potential infill drilling to upgrade inferred resources.
