Honey Badger Silver Inc. has engaged Tusk Automation Inc. to perform an on-site evaluation of the processing facilities at the PC Silver Mine in the Northwest Territories, aiming to generate detailed capital and time estimates for restarting the idle plant.

The processing facilities were substantially completed in 1982 but were never commercially operated after the mine was mothballed following a sharp drop in silver prices. Honey Badger estimates replacing the existing infrastructure today would cost at least $300 million and take several years. According to Executive Chairman Chad Williams, previous economic studies relied on factored allowances rather than verified condition assessments or as-built drawings.

Tusk's on-site evaluation is expected to conclude by the end of September 2026, with a final report due by the end of November 2026. While the data will arrive too late for Honey Badger's upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment scheduled for September 2026, the findings are intended for use in a subsequent feasibility study to provide greater granularity on restart capital and execution risk.

"Previous studies did not quantify the value of the existing process plant: no as-built drawings, no verified condition assessment, and plant capital figures were built from factored allowances not detailed analysis. Honey Badger Silver's objective is to expeditiously restart the PC Silver Mine by using the considerable value inherent in the existing infrastructure and decades of work already completed at the project ." — Chad Williams, Executive Chairman

Tusk personnel report that the plant's equipment is preserved in unusually strong condition due to the region's cold, dry climate, noting that electrical wiring is largely reusable and flotation tanks and thickeners appear new.

"The PC Silver Mine's processing facilities appear to be in better condition than many equivalent facilities that are currently in production that we have worked on. Our activities will produce a quantified, quotation-backed figure." — James Jenkinson, President of Tusk Automation Inc.

Honey Badger acquired 100% of the PC Silver Project in April 2026 through the acquisition of Canadian Zinc Corporation from Resource Capital Fund VI L.P. The project encompasses 5 kilometres of underground development, surface infrastructure, and an established mineral resource containing silver, zinc, lead, and copper.
