Horseshoe Metals Limited has commenced Direct Shipping Ore preparation activities at the Horseshoe Lights Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia, with personnel scheduled to mobilize to site in early September.

The company has appointed a Senior Site Executive and lodged a Notice of Operations commencement. Horseshoe plans to progressively stockpile 500 tonnes of DSO material in batches, with the first stockpile scheduled for sale in October and a second in December.

Multiple buyers have been engaged, and the company will manage the entire process from stockpiling and loading to delivery. Operations target a copper price base sustained above US$6.50 per pound, stepping up from an earlier US$6.00 threshold targeted in April 2026. Precious metal credits are also expected to add value.

“Today's announcement represents the first step in bringing HSL back into production. When mining operations ceased at the project over 32 years ago, extensive remnant stockpiles of DSO material have remained onsite and untouched and they hold considerable unlocked value, particularly at the current copper price.”

Revenue generated from DSO sales will fund a Scoping Study for planned oxide heap, vat leach and cementation operations, alongside further exploration drilling.

“Revenue from the DSO operations provides the catalyst to prepare a scoping study and potentially fund a larger but low-cost small and large scale oxide heap/vat leach and cementation operation, and we are confident of advancing this very rapidly and permitting it accordingly. As we have previously stated, HSL is vastly underdeveloped and underexplored and the project has lots of upside from staged production and further exploration.”

The deposit holds an existing in-situ mineral resource of 12.85 million tonnes grading 1.0% copper for 128,600 tonnes of contained copper, alongside 36,000 ounces of gold.

Elsewhere in the surrounding district, exploration activity has continued to highlight regional geological potential, including a maiden reverse circulation drilling campaign by Great Western Exploration Limited that confirmed settings consistent with a VHMS mineralised system.
