Iltani Resources Limited (ASX: ILT) has reported promising assay results from its ongoing reverse circulation drilling program at the Orient Silver-Indium project in North Queensland. The company completed six holes, ORR160 through ORR164 and ORR166, which were designed to test strike continuity and down-dip extensions of mineralisation within the Orient East area. These results confirm the presence of high-grade silver, lead, zinc, and indium, with the drilling helping to tighten intersection spacing to 40 meters. This technical progression is intended to improve resource classification and provide the data necessary for upcoming scoping and feasibility studies for a potential open-pit operation.

Drill hole ORR164 delivered the most notable grades, intercepting an upper zone that returned 28 meters at 317 grams per tonne silver equivalent, including a high-grade core of 4 meters at 1,099 grams per tonne silver equivalent. The hole also hit a lower zone of 30 meters at 117 grams per tonne silver equivalent, with internal high-grade intercepts confirmed in both sections. While Orient East showed high-grade results, infill drilling at Orient West, specifically in holes ORR161 and ORR163, returned medium-grade mineralisation consistent with previous findings, which the company believes could still be economically viable if ore-sorting technology proves effective.

The company has now completed 81 of the 110 planned reverse circulation holes, totaling 15,485 meters of drilling. With consistent samples flowing to the laboratory, Iltani expects to receive a steady stream of assay results over the coming months. Management is also actively looking to the next phase of development, having recently mobilized a diamond drill rig to the site. This new drilling will focus on extracting large-diameter core samples specifically for metallurgical test work. This upcoming analysis will include ore-sorting trials, a key component for assessing the project's viability. As the current drilling program winds down over the next two months, the team will continue to integrate these results to refine the site’s geological model and identify priority targets for follow-up testing.
